A beauty dish is a round reflector which is bowl-shaped. Unlike a typical reflector bowl there is a reflector disc in the centre that bounces the light back into the bowl and then forward. The effect is a hard, flat light with semi-soft edges with minimal soft spots. Perfect for beauty and glamour photography.

Details

Our beauty dishes are coated with silver that produce hard light for sharper and more detailed results. The effect of the silver can be softened though with a diffusing cloth that can be fixed onto the front of the beauty dish.

Diffusing cloth is included.

Attached honeycombs will considerably narrow the light into a beam for harder and distinct shadows. Use for creative and more dramatic styles of portraiture.

Most of our beauty dishes do not include a honeycomb attachment and need to be bought separately.

All our Beauty dishes have the Bowen’s mount. The mount is fixed therefore not interchangeable.
